We need help and support coping with our disability.

When I first started this group (WheelsHeals Disability) it was to help improve the lives of people living with disabilities who struggle with their health and mobility, problems transferring and the daily struggle that comes with living with a disability.

Now I've come to realise that there are daily challenges that some of us have to deal with, it might be physically, mentally and emotionally even financially.

As a disable person myself there are some challenging times even at present But I want to stick with the basics for now.

I remember the first time I sustained my injury back in 2005 I couldn't do a lot of things that i was accustom to, it felt like I was living life all over again.

That's exactly what it was if I'm honest.

The reality is when you're a healthy man or woman and you suddenly become disable the life you where living before changes in some cases it changes drastically, some of us lose things that we held dear to our hearts.

Relationships falls apart, relatives and friends abandon you, your entire environment becomes unfamiliar, sometimes you look at yourself in the mirror and you don't recognise your own reflection.

This happens to anyone who's suddenly becomes disable with out warning, be it accidental, or through sickness.

We need help to make this transition we can't do it on our own. Having the support and guidance would make your transition easier.

I can recall when I was told that I won't be unable to walk again back in 2005, my entire life fell apart I lost everything I even felt like I was loosing my mind too, I just wanted to die.

And I know that there are some of you that feels this way too and has no one to talk to about it, you might be struggling with something new and think that theirs no solution. But there is.

That's why I'm encouraging you to jump on board and join this group that gives you support, advice and share experiences that will help improve your lifestyle on how to live with your disabilities.

Having a platform I could turn to for help and support when I needed it, it really helped me through the dark and lonely times.

And I created this group to offer back the same help, love, advice and support to all who's interested. You're not alone.

I invite you all to join this group (wheelsHeals Disability) and share your experiences on how you coped with your daily living good and bad, it will help and benefit the lives of those who are now living with their disabilities.
